"Dnipro-1" beat "Zorya" in the central match of the 8th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match at the stadium "Ukraine" in Lviv ended with a score of 0:1.

The only goal in the meeting between the silver and bronze medalists of the last draw of the championship of Ukraine was scored in the middle of the first half. In the 24th minute, Dnipro midfielder Ihor Kohut fired a one-touch shot into the far top corner from the edge of the goal area after a pass from Valentyn Rubchynskyi.

For the Dnipro club, this is the debut victory under the leadership of Yuri Maksimov.

"Dnipro-1" interrupted its four-match winless streak in the UPL. Prior to that, Dnipro last won on August 6 in the second round match against Polissia (2-1).

The victory over Zorya allowed Dnipro to rise to eighth place in the UPL with 9 points. The Luhansk team with 5 points is in the 14th position.

In the next round, Dnipro-1 will play against Metalist 2 on October 1925, and Zorya will meet with Chornomorets on September 30.
