Rahul Dravid on part-time bowler: Rahul Dravid's statement
Ahead of the ODI series against Australia (IND vs AUS ODIs), Rahul Dravid spoke about the new strategy of the Indian team and answered all the questions that are currently being asked by fans and former veterans. During the conversation, Dravid gave his opinion on the question of not bowling by Indian batsmen. In fact, in recent times, the Indian management has been insisting on the inclusion of all-rounders in the team. Due to which the top order batsmen are not seen playing the role of part-time bowlers during the match. The indian team's desperation to field players like Axar Patel or Washington Sundar is based on two reasons – the batsmen not bowling enough and the previous batsmen not being able to contribute with the bat. Dravid reacted to this question and gave his opinion.
Coach Dravid said directly, "I think it has happened due to changing the rule. Suddenly you have started keeping 4 fielders instead of 5 fielders in the circle. Suryakumar has never bowled since he was called up for a suspicious bowling action during a Mumbai Indians match a few years ago. I stopped bowling.
"Virat and Sachin are special players because..." Manjrekar spoke of similar qualities between the two players.
"Karun Nair's luck did not support but did not give up, now he is making a splash in county cricket, batting like this and scoring so many runs
On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar used to do inswinger, outswinger, leg break, off break, due to which he took 154 ODI wickets. Sourav Ganguly has also taken 100 wickets while Yuvraj Singh's bowling played a key role in India winning the 2011 World Cup, taking 111 wickets. All these specialist batsmen were in the top five batting order. Virender Sehwag took 96 wickets and Suresh Raina took 36 wickets.
"If you remember and mention the bowling of these names (Sachin, Sourav, Sehwag, Yuvraj, Raina) at this stage, most of these players started bowling when there were only four fielders in the circle. "In this situation (five fielders within the circle), you can lose a temporary bowler and that didn't happen to us but a lot of teams did it. If you pay attention, the number of temporary bowlers in other teams has also come down. "It's not just for the Indian team.
