The UEFA Disciplinary Committee punished the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) following the results of the September matches of the "blue-yellows" in qualifying for Euro-2024 against England and Italy.

According to the official website of UEFA, due to manifestations of racism on the part of Ukrainian fans, the UAF was fined 20 thousand euros.

Also, the UAF is obliged to pay a fine of 5 thousand euros for the use of pyrotechnics by fans in the stands and another 8 thousand euros for blocking passages at the stadium.

In addition, the next nominally home match in the selection for Euro-2024 (against North Macedonia) by the national team of Ukraine was ordered to be held with partially closed sectors in the stadium (at least 5 thousand seats), and for the next away match of the "blue-yellows" (against Malta) UAF is prohibited from selling tickets to Ukrainian fans.

It should be noted that the national team of Ukraine drew against England (1:1) in Wroclaw, Poland, after which it lost to Italy (1:2) in Milan.

The national team will play its next match in qualifying for Euro-2024 Ukrainian against North Macedonia on October 14 in the Czech capital Prague at the stadium of the Sparta football club. The away match of Serhiy Rebrov's team against Malta is scheduled for October 17.

The national team of Ukraine will complete the group stage of selection for the continental championship on November 20 nominally with a home match against Italy. The venue of the Ukraine-Italy match has not yet been determined.

According to the results of six rounds, the national team of Ukraine with 7 points takes third place in Group C. England is in the lead with 13 points, Italy is in second position (7). North Macedonia (7) is on the fourth step, Malta is the last (0). All except the Italians played five matches, the Squadra Azzurra - four.

The two best teams from each group will advance to the final part of the 2024 European Championship. The winners of three more tickets to the continental championship will be determined in the playoffs, where 12 teams will get depending on their performances in the League of Nations-2022/23.

The draw for the final part of Euro-2024 will take place in December 2023, and the tournament itself will be hosted by Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The German national team, as the host of the tournament, got to the continental championship without selection.
