The International Football Federation (FIFA) has presented an updated ranking of men's national teams based on the results of September matches.

In the list published on the FIFA website, the national team of Ukraine remained in 24th place.

In September, Serhiy Rebrov's team played two matches in the Euro-2024 qualifiers. The national team of Ukraine drew against England (1:1) in Wroclaw, Poland, after which it lost to Italy (1:2) in Milan.

The leadership in the FIFA ranking was retained by the Argentine national team, which is the current world champion. France and Brazil continue to be in second and third positions, respectively.

According to the results of six rounds, the national team of Ukraine with 7 points takes third place in Group C. England is in the lead with 13 points, Italy is in second position (7). North Macedonia (7) is on the fourth step, Malta is the last (0). All except the Italians played five matches, the Squadra Azzurra - four.

Our team has three matches left to play in the Euro-2024 qualifiers: Ukraine - North Macedonia (October 14), Malta - Ukraine (October 17) and Ukraine - Italy (November 20).

The two best teams from each group will advance to the final part of the 2024 European Championship. The winners of three more tickets to the continental championship will be determined in the playoffs, where 12 teams will get depending on their performances in the League of Nations-2022/23.

The draw for the final part of Euro-2024 will take place in December 2023, and the tournament itself will be hosted by Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The German national team, as the host of the tournament, got to the continental championship without selection.
