Bellingham scored near the end of stoppage time, as Real Madrid won 1-<> at home to Union Berlin at the Santiago Bernabeu in Group C of the Champions League football on Wednesday.

Real dominated play in the first half, but struggled to break through the Onion defence, which relied on the defensive organization led by veteran Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci, who joined this summer from Juventus.

The 14-time European champions started the second half better and Rodrygo twice came close to scoring, but goalkeeper Federik Runoff saved the first attempt, while the other shot bounced off the post.

Carlo Ancelotti's side kept up the pressure and the German team almost held out until the end, before midfielder Bellingham took advantage of confusion inside the box and scored his sixth goal in six games.
