Dynamo won the final match of the 7th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match at the capital's stadium named after Valery Lobanovsky ended with a score of 2:0.
Mircea Lucescu's men took the lead in the opening stages of the game. In the 5th minute, Nazar Voloshin received a backheel pass from Vladyslav Vanat and shot past Poltava goalkeeper Pavlo Isenko from outside the penalty area.
In the 20th minute, the White-Blues could have doubled their advantage – Vanat shot the opponents' goal after a header from Christian Bilovar, but after a prompt from the VAR video assistant, the referee canceled the goal due to offside.
In the second half, the home team managed to score for the second time. Vitaliy Buyalskyi launched Benito to counterattack with a pass from his half of the field, and the Nigerian striker outwitted the defender and goalkeeper, after which he sent the ball into an empty net.
Thus, Kyiv interrupted their three-match winless streak in all competitions. Earlier, Kyiv lost to Chornomorets (2:3) in the UPL and lost twice to the Turkish Besiktas (2:3, 0:1) in the playoffs of the Conference League qualification.
