The German national football team has dismissed Hansi Flick as head coach of the team.
This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB) on its official website.
The corresponding decision was made after the day before the German national team defeated Japan (1:4) in a friendly match.
This defeat was the third in a row for the Germans, something that has not happened since 1985. Before the disastrous game against the Japanese, the German team lost to Colombia (0:2) and Poland (0:1).
Germany have failed to win any of their last five matches. Up to three consecutive defeats, Flick's team drew with Ukraine (3:3) and lost to Belgium (2:3).
It should be noted that Flick has been working with the German national team since the summer of 2021. Under his leadership, the team played two tournaments: the League of Nations and the World Cup in Qatar. The Bundestim finished both competitions in the group stage.
The Germans will play their next match on Tuesday, September 12, against France. It will also be friendly, as Germany, as the host of Euro-2024, received an automatic ticket to the upcoming continental championship.
