On Thursday, August 31, the draw for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League of the 2023/24 season took place in Monaco.

32 clubs took part in it: 26 of them automatically advanced to the group round at the end of last season, and six more managed to overcome the sieve of qualification.

Shakhtar Donetsk also recognized their opponents in the group stage of the Champions League, which remained the only representative of Ukraine in the main club European tournament after Dnipro-1 was eliminated in the 2nd qualifying round.

The two best teams from each group will advance to the 1/8 finals of the Champions League.

The teams that finish third in the Europa League play-offs will compete for tickets to the 1/8 finals with the runners-up in the Europa League quartets.

The Champions League group stage matches will take place from September 19 to December 13. The draw for the 1/8 finals of the Champions League is December 18.

The Champions League final will take place on June 1, 2024 at London's Wembley Stadium.
