Dnipro-1 striker Artem Dovbyk became the top scorer of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2022/23 season.

The 25-year-old forward scored 24 goals in 30 domestic championship matches. With this result, he was ahead of forwards Nazariy Rusin (Zorya) and Tauliant Seferi (Vorskla), who scored 13 goals each in the season.

Dovbyk was close to the absolute record in the history of the Ukrainian championships, which belongs to the former midfielder of Donetsk "Shakhtar" Henrikh Mkhitaryan (25 goals in the season-2012/13).

In total, during the current campaign, Dovbyk scored 29 goals and gave 8 assists in 39 matches for Dnipro-1 in all competitions.

Recall that in the final round of the UPL "Dnepr-1" snatched victory over "Kryvbas". This allowed Oleksandr Kucher's team to finish in second place, ahead of Zorya Luhansk in terms of additional indicators.

Next season, the Dnipro club will play in the Champions League qualification for the first time in history.
