French PSG have officially announced that defender Sergio Ramos will leave the club after the end of the current season.

The current contract of the 37-year-old Spaniard with the Parisians expires on June 30 and the parties decided not to extend the agreement.

Ramos joined PSG in the summer of 2021 as a free agent. During this time, he played 57 matches in all competitions in the shirt of the French club and scored 5 goals.

Sergio twice won the French championship with the Parisians and once won the country's Super Cup.

Ramos has made 44 appearances for PSG in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and giving away one assist.

It is currently unknown where the Spaniard will continue his career. According to rumours, he may return to his home club, Sevilla, for which he played from 2002 to 2005. It was also reported that Ramos has offers from Saudi Arabia.

Earlier it was reported that after the end of the season, PSG will leave another star player – Argentine forward Lionel Messi.

To recap, PSG won the French championship ahead of schedule for the 2022/23 season. The Paris grand won the "gold" of the national championship for the ninth time in the last 11 years.
