The scandal ended the match between Ukrainian midfielder Danylo Ignatenko's Bordeaux and Rodez in the last round of the French Ligue 2.

In the 22nd minute of the meeting, the team of the 26-year-old Ukrainian, who came to the match in the starting lineup, missed a goal. The author of the goal Luca Bouades began to celebrate vigorously with his teammates.

This angered one of the Bordeaux fans. He jumped onto the field and pushed the Rodez player away. The referee decided to suspend the match, and then ended it ahead of schedule.

After the match, referee Nicolas Ranville explained that Bouades had a suspected concussion, so he did not resume the game according to protocol.

Now Bordeaux faces a technical defeat, which will finally put an end to the team's hopes of improving in class.

The rivals of Ignatenko's club – Le Havre and Metz – won in the final round. Thus, Le Havre (75 points) won the Ligue 2 season and entered the elite division.

Metz (72 points) is three points ahead of Bordeaux – if the match against Rodez is still resumed, the Ukrainian team will need to win with a difference of five goals to reach second place and win a ticket to Ligue 1.

This season, Ignatenko played 37 matches for the French club in all competitions, in which he scored two goals and gave one assist.

To recap, Danylo received a call-up to the national team of Ukraine for the June matches of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
