MS Dhoni Knee Surgery

MS Dhoni Knee Surgery: Dhoni was seen playing with a knee bandage during the last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023). According to a report in Cricbuzz, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan (CSK CEO on MS Dhoni Knee Operation) said that he spoke to Dhoni after the surgery on Thursday morning, a CSK official confirmed.

Dhoni, who led Chennai Super Kings to their fifth IPL title, flew straight to Mumbai from Ahmedabad after the final on Monday. He consulted renowned sports orthopaedic surgeon Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, who is also on the BCCI medical panel. He has done surgery on many Indian cricketers including Rishabh Pant. A source close to CSK management said, "Dhoni underwent a successful knee surgery at Kokilaben Hospital.

He is fine and will be discharged in a day or two. He will rest for a few days after which his rehabilitation will start. Hopefully, he will have enough time to get fit before the next IPL," Dhoni said. He looked fine while keeping the wicket, but usually came in at number eight to bat and did not appear to be in rhythm in the race between wickets.

After the IPL final, Dhoni had said, "If you look at the circumstances, this is the best time for me to retire. It is very easy for me to say that I am leaving now but it is difficult to come back from working hard for the next nine months and play one more season. The way the Chennai fans have loved me, it will be my gift to them that I play one more season. I should also do something for the love and emotion they have shown."

Despite the knee problem, there was no flaw in wicketkeeping, but during batting, he used to come to the crease in the lower order to avoid stealing fast runs. Earlier, Chennai Super Kings CEO Vishwanath (CSK CEO on MS Dhoni) was asked if there is a possibility that Dhoni will decide not to play next season and thus the team will have an additional Rs 15 crore for the shorter auction. "To be honest, we are not even thinking in that direction because we have not reached that position yet. It will be entirely Dhoni's decision, but I can tell you about CSK's stand that we have not thought anything about it.
