London Arsenal have congratulated their former forward, Russian Andrei Arshavin, on his birthday.
The press service of the "gunners" published on Twitter a message for the footballer from the terrorist country, who defended the colors of the London club in 2009-2013.
"Wishing you a great day, Andrew," Arsenal wrote, adding a video of Arshavin doing poker against Liverpool in 2009 at Anfield.
However, within hours, the post disappeared from the London club's social media. Obviously, Arsenal, for which Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko plays, realized their shameful mistake.
It is worth noting that Arshavin is one of those athletes who publicly supported his country's war against Ukraine. Earlier, the ex-forward of the Russian national team said that, if necessary, he was ready to go to fight in Ukraine with weapons in his hands.
Earlier, Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti congratulated Zenit on winning the Russian championship, and Barcelona players Sergi Roberto and Alejandro Balde starred in a video thanking Russian fans after winning the Spanish championship.
