Belgian FC Brugge forward Roman Yaremchuk will not help the Ukrainian national team in the June matches of Euro 2024 qualification, as well as a friendly game against Germany.

The 27-year-old striker will miss the upcoming national team training camp due to injury, the press service of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) said.

Instead of Yaremchuk, 24-year-old forward of Luhansk "Zorya" Nazariy Rusin will go to the camp of "blue-yellows", for whom this is his debut call-up to the national team of Ukraine.

This season, Rusin played 29 matches for Zorya in the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL), in which he scored 11 goals and gave 6 assists.

Yaremchuk has 2 goals and the same number of assists in 23 matches of "Brugge" in the Belgian championship.

The national team will begin its training camp on June 8 in Bremen, where they will play a friendly with Germany on June 12.

After that, the "blue-yellows" in the framework of the qualifiers for the continental championship will play North Macedonia (June 16) and Malta (June 19) in Skopje and Slovakian Trnava respectively.

Recall that at the end of March at the start of qualification for Euro 2024, the national team of Ukraine under the leadership of Ruslan Rotan lost to England at Wembley Stadium in London.

Recently, the UAF reported that in the near future the national team of Ukraine will receive a new head coach. It is expected that it will be Serhiy Rebrov, who a few days ago announced his departure from Al-Ain.
