Sunil Gavaskar on Naveen-ul-Haq

Lucknow Super Giants' IPL 2023 journey came to an end on Wednesday after losing to five-time champions Mumbai Indians by 81 runs in the eliminator match in Chennai. LSG missed by a big margin and none of their batsmen could bat well. The only ray of hope for LSG was the performance of their fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq (4 wickets) who took four wickets. After taking the wickets of batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Cameron Green, Naveen was seen celebrating with his ear closed (Naveen Shut Out the Noise Celebration), which went viral on social media. Even the great Sunil Gavaskar reacted to the celebrations.

Sunil Gavaskar said on-air on Star Sports

"Fantastic, fantastic delivery, this delivery was 105 while the previous delivery was 133. Naveen has been in the news since his recent spat with former RCB captain Virat Kohli (Naven Ul Haq vs Virat Kohli). After the celebration (Sunil Gavaskar on Naveen ul Haq celebration) he said, "He had a problem with the audience. That's when he got the wicket, he has to hear the applause. When someone even scores a century, don't close your ears" Listen to the applause, hit your hand behind the ears and say 'Hello, can I hear you now?'
