BCCI secretary Jay Shah

New Delhi:

For the past few days, there has been a cold war between India and Pakistan over the issue of Team India going to Pakistan in the Asia Cup. The PCB, which has been badly angry about India not coming to Pakistan, has made many statements against India within the last few months. However, now BCCI secretary Jay Shah has made it clear that any final decision on organizing the Asia Cup will be taken after consultation with the top members of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

Shah said that no final decision has been taken yet regarding organizing the Asia Cup. Right now we are busy with the IPL, but the officials of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan Cricket Boards are coming to watch the final match. During this time we will discuss about the Asia Cup. And only after that a final decision will be taken.

Let us know that this time it is Pakistan's turn to host the Asia Cup, but under the foreign policy of the Indian government, the BCCI refused to send the team to Pakistan long ago. And since then, Pakistan has become very red-yellow about this issue. Recently, PCB chairman Najam Sethi had proposed to organize a hybrid model (matches at different venues). Under this, four matches were offered to be played in Pakistan.

According to sources, under Sethi's hybrid model, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Afghanistan will play four matches in Pakistan, while India will play all their matches at a neutral venue. This model is being seen as a solution, but a final decision is yet to be taken. Under this model, two India-Pakistan matches will also be played in Sri Lanka, but the PCB wants these matches to be held in Dubai.
