Team India's first batch leaves for London
The first batch of the Indian team has left for England for the World Test Championship (WTC FInal) final against Australia to be held in London. The first batch of players to leave for England includes spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel and all-rounder Shardul Thakur, besides the support staff led by Rahul Dravid. The WTC Final (WTC Finak) will be played at the Oval from June 11 to 30. "The players will arrive in England in two or three batches," a BCCI source told PTI. The first batch will leave at <>.<> am tomorrow," he said.
The players whose team has reached the playoffs of the Indian Premier League will reach England later. These players include captain Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami, KS Bharat and Ajinkya Rahane. Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara is already playing county cricket in England.
