Gujarat has been given a target of 178 runs to win in Rajasthan.

New Delhi:

The 23rd match of IPL is being played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In this match, Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to bowl.

Batting first after losing the toss, Gujarat scored 177 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs on the basis of innings of Shubman Gill and David Miller and gave Rajasthan a target of 178 runs to win.

Chasing the target met by Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals got off to a bad start and the team got the first blow in the form of Yashasvi Jaiswal at the score of 2 runs.

Hardik Pandya came to bowl the second over of Rajasthan's innings and showed the way to the pavilion by getting Jaiswal caught out by Gill on the third ball of his first over.

After this, Rajasthan got another big blow in the next over.

Mohammad Shami bowled the in-form Jos Buttler in the third over and gave Rajasthan the second blow of the match.

On the fifth ball of the second over of Mohammed Shami, Jose Butler wanted to take a boundary by playing a scoop shot.

For this, Butler left the stumps and came towards the off side.

Shami's ball was in-swing and the ball hit the straight wicket.

Butler's decision to play an enchanting shot proved wrong.

Butler got out on a score of zero for the second time in his IPL career.

With this wicket of Jose Butler, Rajasthan got into trouble and the team was able to score only 26 runs in the power play.
