The legendary Ukrainian boxer Volodymyr Klitschko condemned

the scandalous decision

of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to return to international competitions.

The Olympic champion and ex-world boxing champion criticized IOC President Thomas Bach, saying that he "serves the colors and interests of Russia."

"The IOC allows Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the Olympic Games under a 'neutral flag'. This decision is a false sign. Thomas Bach serves the colors and interests of Russia. This decision pollutes the Olympic spirit and is similar to this war: nonsense," Klitschko wrote Jr. on his Twitter page.

On March 28, the IOC recommended that international sports federations allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to return to international competitions in a neutral status, but with a number of restrictions.

Russians and Belarusians are prohibited from participating in team sports, and they must not support war or have contracts with the armies of the aggressor states.

In addition, Bach said that the issue of the participation of Russians and Belarusians in the 2024 and 2026 Olympic Games has not yet been considered.

Earlier it was reported that 35 countries agreed

to demand

from the IOC the exclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes from the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

As a reminder, Ukraine

may boycott the 2024 Olympics

if athletes from Russia and Belarus are admitted to the competition.
