Serhii Lapin, Director of the WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF World Heavyweight Champion Team

Oleksandr Usyk, mocked WBC titleholder Tyson Fury following news that their potential unification bout

had fallen through

.

In his Instagram-stories, he published a post in which he trolled the British boxer.

"This is the fight fans of Fury's belly have been waiting for. It's going to be a bomb," Lapin wrote, adding a poster for Fury's fourth fight with Chisora.

It should be noted that in his last fight, on the night of December 4, 2022, the "Gypsy King"

defeated

his compatriot Derek Chisora by knockout.

This was already the third match between the boxers.

In the first confrontation, which took place in 2011, Tyson won by unanimous decision of the judges, and in 2014, Derek refused to continue the fight after the tenth round.

The fight for the title of absolute world champion between Usyk and Fury was supposed to take place on April 29 in London at the "Wembley" stadium, but the Ukrainian and the British could not agree on the terms of the contract for the fight.

On March 22, it became known that Usyk canceled the training camp in which he was preparing for the fight with Fury.

The Ukrainian's promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk also confirmed that this fight will not take place.

In turn, the manager of the Ukrainian boxer Egis Klimas

said

that Oleksandr is going to focus on the mandatory belt defense and return to the ring in June-July this year.

The Ukrainian's opponent may be the mandatory contender under the WBA line, the British Daniel Dubois.

It will be recalled that Usyk

accepted Fury's ultimatum

regarding the distribution of the fee for the title fight according to the 70% to 30% scheme in favor of the Briton.

Later, Fury set Usyk

a new condition for the title fight

 - the absence of a rematch option in the contract for the fight.

In response, the Ukrainian team

gave the British an ultimatum

: either the match will take place on April 29, or Oleksandr will fight another opponent.

  • 36-year-old Usyk has 20 victories (13 by knockout) in 20 fights.

He spent four of them in the heavyweight division.

Before that, Oleksandr became the absolute world champion in cruiserweight (weight category up to 90.7 kg), winning all four of the most prestigious belts there.

  • The 34-year-old Fury has 33 wins (24 by knockout) and one draw.
