[Sports Center/Comprehensive Report] The 31-year-old Phillies pitcher Mark Appel, who only made his debut on the major league stage last year, was released by the team today.

Phillies head coach Rob Thomson (Rob Thomson) admitted frankly that there is currently no position for Aibel in 3A.

Abel was the No. 1 pick of the Astros in 2013, but he was affected by injuries and left the ball for a while in 2018. He did not return to the Phillies minor league system until 2021.

Aibel only made his major league debut on June 29 last year, when he made his major league debut at the age of 30 years and 349 days.

Aibel played 6 games with the Phillies last season as a backup, throwing 10.1 innings with a 1.74 ERA.
