Shreyas Iyer

IND vs AUS ODI Series, Shreyas Iyer Fitness Update:

India's fielding coach T Dilip on Wednesday officially confirmed that middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer is recovering from a lower back injury. Due to this, he has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Australia starting on Friday.

'PTI-Bhasha' had reported Iyer's exclusion from ODIs on March 11 itself.

It has been learned that this artistic batsman from Mumbai will not be able to participate in the dazzling Indian Premier League (IPL 2023).

Iyer (Shreyas KKR Captain) leads KKR in IPL.

He is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for rehabilitation (treatment and recovery from injury).

It could not be confirmed yet whether he would need surgery like Jaspreet Bumrah and the famous Krishna.

T Dilip (T Dilip on Shreyas Iyer Fitness) said in a press conference here, "Injury is a part of the game.

We have the best medical facilities.

We are in touch (with NCA).

Shreyas is out of this series.

Iyer had returned to the Indian team after recovering from injury.

He could not get out to bat in the team's only innings even after being included in the playing eleven in the fourth Test match.

After recovering from the injury during the Test match, Iyer was taken for a scan by the BCCI medical team.

At that time a message was given from the team that the injury of this batsman is being monitored.

Due to injury, Iyer is expected to be out of the Indian Premier League for at least the first part of the 2023 (Shreyas Iyer Ipl 2023) season.

The upcoming season of IPL (IPL 2023 Schedule) is starting from 31 March.

Iyer is the captain of the two-time title winner Kolkata Knight Riders and now it looks like the team will have to look for a new captain.
