[Reporter Lin Youchen/Comprehensive Report] 26-year-old Japanese-American pitcher Jordan Yamamoto announced his retirement in his personal community today.

Yamamoto wrote: "I have decided to leave my favorite game. It has been a journey of ups and downs. Although there were many emotions in the process of returning home, I have no regrets."

Yamamoto Jordan was selected by the Brewers in the 12th round of the draft in 2014. He went to the Marlins in the Christian Yelich trade case. Started 15 games with a 4.46 ERA.

However, due to injuries, Yamamoto Jordan last played in the major leagues for the Mets in 2021. He originally signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers this year, but he still decided to retire.

Yamamoto Jordan said: "I used to be a kid from Hawaii with dreams, and I had dreams of stepping into the big leagues. If you told me at the age of 10 that one day my dreams would come true, then I would not have believed it. .It's been a crazy ride, but it ends just as it started."

Yamamoto Jordan also thanked all those who helped him, including his family, management team, teammates, coaches, as well as the teams he played for and fans who supported him.
