, who is called the "heir of the Klitschko brothers", lost to Cuban Lenier Pero in a fight in San Antonio (USA).

The fight with the participation of the 30-year-old Ukrainian became part of the undercard of the fight for the vacant WBC world champion title in the second featherweight between Ray Vargas and O'Shakey Foster.

The fight was scheduled for 10 rounds.

At the beginning of the fight, Vikhrist was more active.

At the end of the third round, he landed a powerful side kick that staggered Pero.

But the Cuban managed to stay on his feet.

After seven rounds, Victor was in the lead on the judges' scorecards.

However, the eighth round became decisive in this confrontation.

Vykhrist suddenly missed a combination of blows to the body and head, after which he could not recover.

Pero rushed to finish off the Ukrainian, but the referee intervened and stopped the fight, recording the victory of the Cuban by technical knockout.

For Vykhrist, this defeat was the first in his professional career.

He also has 11 victories (7 by knockout).

The Cuban boxer has 9 victories (6 by knockout) in 9 fights.

It will be recalled that in his previous fight, which took place in December 2022, Vykhrist defeated

the  47-year-old American veteran Franklin Lawrence

by unanimous decision  .
