IND vs AUS 1st Test:
Spinner Mahesh Pithiya, who is in the news for bowling like Ravichandran Ashwin, was not happy when he met his ideal player and then the Indian off-spinner informed him. Lee that what kind of bowling he is bowling to the Australian batsmen.
Mahesh has played only four first-class matches so far but his action matches Ashwin and hence Australia has named him for the four-Test series against India starting in Nagpur from Thursday (India vs Australia Test Series).
Chosen as the first net bowler.
He has been able to grab the attention of people with his bowling.
Watching Ashwin bowling at the nets, Mahesh said with a smile, "I got Steve Smith out five to six times in the nets on the first day itself."
On hearing Ashwin's name, 21-year-old Mahesh starts smiling.
He has also created curiosity among Indian players.
Mahesh said, "Today I was blessed with my idol. I wanted to bowl like Ashwin from the beginning. When he came to practice at the nets, I met him and I touched his feet. He hugged me and Asked how I was bowling to the Australian batsmen."
He said, "Virat Kohli also smiled seeing me and he wished me luck."
Mahesh has just started his journey in senior cricket for Baroda and at the moment his focus is on this only.
