added 18-year-old Venezuelan striker Kevin Kelsey to its squad.

The press service of "Miners" informed about the transfer.

The contract with the player is calculated until the end of 2028.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Kevin became the first Venezuelan in the history of Shakhtar.

Kelsey is a pupil of the Venezuelan club "Mineros", for whose main team he played from 2021: he played 31 matches, scored 5 goals and made one assist.

In January 2023, Kevin joined the Uruguayan "Boston River", but did not have time to make his debut in the new club.

Kelsey is a football player of the youth national team of Venezuela (5 matches, 2 goals), as part of which he is currently playing in the U-20 South American Championship.

The Venezuelan forward became Shakhtar's third rookie in the current winter transfer window.
