Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk, who

moved

to the London club from Shakhtar Donetsk in the winter, unexpectedly found himself at the center of a racist scandal.

This is reported by the British tabloid The Sun.

English fans criticized the football player of the Ukrainian national team for a video on the TikTok platform published last summer.

In it, Mudryk performs the American rapper Lil Baby's track "Freestyle", released back in 2017.

The word "nigga" is used more than ten times in this song.

This caused the indignation of fans, who accused Mykhailo of racism.

Mudryk himself has already apologized for his act, admitting his guilt.

"Mykhailo deeply regrets any offense that may have been caused by the video posted on his TikTok account. Although his intention was simply to quote the lyrics of the song, Mudryk regrets his decision and wholeheartedly agrees that it was unacceptable," the representative quotes footballer The Sun.

The video on Mudryk's TikTok page, which was viewed more than 200,000 times, has already been deleted.

We will remind, Mykhailo signed a contract with "Chelsea" until the summer of 2030.

For his transfer, "Shakhtar" received 70 million euros, another 30 million euros are provided in bonuses.

Mykhailo's transfer became the most expensive winter signing in the history of the English Premier League.
