[Sports Center/Comprehensive Report] The 5th World Baseball Classic will debut in March. The "Red Lightning" Cuban team announced today a list of 30 players, including 14 pitchers, 2 catchers, 8 infielders, and 6 outfielders. Fielders, including five active major league players, will be the first time in the history of the Cuban team that active major league players will participate in the classic.

There are five active MLS players on the current Cuban team, namely Mariners left-hander Roenis Elias, Royals left-hander Ronald Bolanos, and White Sox hitter Yoan Moncada. Moncada, Tigers third baseman Andy Ibanez, White Sox outfielder Luis Robert.
