Women's Premier League: 

After the announcement of the five teams of the Women's Premier League (WPL) by the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI), women cricketers from abroad called it a historic day and said that it would have a great impact on women's sports all over the world.

The BCCI earned Rs 4669.99 crore from the sale of five teams of the first Women's Premier League (WPL), while Adani Sportsline spent the most Rs 1289 crore for the Ahmedabad team (Gujarat Giants).

Indian Premier League (IPL) team owners Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) made successful bids for Rs 912.99 crore, Rs 901 crore and Rs 810 crore.

Australia's fast bowler Megan Schutt wrote that it is fantastic not only for women's cricket but for women's sports around the world.

He wrote, โ€œThis is the beginning of an era.

Australian bowling all-rounder Jessica Jonassen said, "Wow, what an incredible result for the ladies."

England fast bowler Kate Cross gave advice to those who underestimated women's sports in the past.

"The BCCI has recognized something special and this will give women cricketers the platform they deserve," she said.
