Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk reached the 1/4 finals of the 

Australian Open-2023

 in doubles.

The 20-year-old native of Kyiv beat the Czech tandem Miriam Kolodzeeva / Marketa Vondroushova in the 1/8 finals together with the Romanian Yelena-Gabriela Ruse.

The match lasted two sets and ended with the victory of the Ukrainian-Romanian duo with a score of 6:3, 6:4.

Marta made it to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open doubles for the first time in her career.

Previously, at this stage of Grand Slam tournaments, she played only at Roland Garros.

In the 1/4 finals, Kostyuk and Ruse will play against the winners of the match Storm Hunter / Elise Mertens (Australia / Belgium) - Victoria Golubych / Monica Niculescu (Switzerland / Romania).
