WBC heavyweight title holder

Tyson Fury

shared his expectations for the fight against WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk.

The Brit noted that his match against the Ukrainian will be historic, because for the first time four main heavyweight belts will be at stake, which has never happened before.

"This is the fight of the century. If you remember, the first fight between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier was hyped as the fight of the century. And before that fight of the century, there was another big fight in the heavyweight division between Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney.

Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk is the first fight in history for four heavyweight belts.

This was not done before.

Lennox Lewis was the absolute heavyweight champion of the world, but he did not hold four titles.

This is the era of four belts, so this will be the first time a heavyweight has become the absolute champion with four titles in the fight of the century.

We are two undefeated champions.

I'm a two-time champion and he's a two-time champion in two weight classes.

So it's a very interesting fight.

The giant will meet with a heavyweight of normal size.

But it will also be a matchup of a nimble shulga against a giant who counterattacks, goes forward - does everything.

I can also do everything he does well," Fury said in an interview with iFL TV.

It is expected that the fight for the title of "absolute" in super heavyweight between Usyk and Fury will take place this spring.

The date and place of the fight have not yet been officially announced.

  • 36-year-old Usyk has 20 victories (13 by knockout) in 20 fights.

He spent four of them in the heavyweight division.

Before that, Oleksandr became the absolute world champion in cruiserweight (weight category up to 90.7 kg), winning all four of the most prestigious belts there.

  • The 34-year-old Fury has 33 wins (24 by knockout) and one draw.
