Former hockey player of the Russian clubs "Mechel" (Chelyabinsk), "Chelmet" and "Slavutich" (Smolensk) Oleksandr Podstavkin died in the 

war in Ukraine

It is reported that on October 23, the athlete received a summons and decided not to hide from mobilization.

He was still in Rostov on December 8, after which he was sent to Ukraine together with other occupiers.

On the territory of our country, Podstavkin quickly met his death, not having lasted a month.

On December 28, Podstavkin's unit came under artillery fire from the Armed Forces, as a result of which the hockey player was also eliminated.

It should be noted that Podstavkin was the silver medalist of the championship of the National Youth Hockey League of the Russian Federation.

It will be recalled that Russian figure skaters

former midfielder of the Russian national football team
