In the match of the second round, the native of Novaya Kakhovka beat the former number two player of the planet, the Czech Petra Kvitova (No. 15 WTA) with a score of 7:5, 6:4.

For Angelina, this is the second appearance in the Australian Open in her career and the first exit to the third round of the Grand Slam tournament.

In the third round of the competition, Kalinin will play the Czech Barbora Krejcikova (No. 23 WTA).

Let's add that two more Ukrainian tennis players - Marta Kostyuk and Kateryna Baindl - continue to play in the main draw of the Australian Open.
