[Sports Center/Comprehensive Report] According to the US media "The Athletic", the Angels today signed a one-year, $1.2 million (approximately NT$36 million) contract with 28-year-old outfielder Brett Phillips.

His father-in-law is former Nippon Ham supervisor Trey Hillman, who currently coaches the Angels.

Phillips made his debut in the major leagues with the Brewers in 2017. He played for the Royals and Rays in the middle. He played 118 games in 2021 and posted a batting average of 206, 13 home runs, and 44 RBIs.
