PAK vs NZ Series:
Former captain Shahid Afridi was on Saturday appointed the interim chief selector of the Pakistan men's national team.
Afridi will head an interim committee of selectors comprising former players Abdul Razzaq, Rao Iftikhar Ahmed and Haroon Rasheed.
This committee will currently select the team for the home series against New Zealand (Pakistan vs New Zealand).
Pakistan will play two Tests and three ODIs against New Zealand.
Both Afridi and Haroon are members of the Cricket Management Committee headed by Najam Sethi (PCB New Chief), who has been appointed to run the affairs of the game in the country for the next four months.
The newly appointed 14-member committee on Friday removed Mohammad Wasim from the post of chief selector.
Wasim was on this post since December 2020.

"I welcome the men's interim national selection committee and have no doubt that despite the limited time, they will make bold decisions that will help us build a strong and competitive team for the series against New Zealand," Sethi said in a statement issued in Karachi. Will help.
He said, “Shahid Afridi has been an aggressive cricketer who has played fearless cricket throughout his career.
He has cricket experience of nearly 20 years, has achieved significant success across formats, and more importantly, has always supported and guided young talent.”
"Therefore, in our collective opinion, there is no better person than him to understand the needs and challenges facing the game at the present time," Sethi said.
Wasim had announced a 16-member team for the Test series against New Zealand (PAK vs NZ) a day before he was removed from his post.
Afridi said, "I have no doubt that through strategic selection decisions based on merit, we will help the national team to put up a strong performance in the series against New Zealand and regain the faith of our fans."
He said, "I will soon call a meeting of the selectors and share my plans with regard to the upcoming matches."
