The Polish Football Association has terminated cooperation with head coach Czeslaw Michniewicz.

The 52-year-old helmsman will leave his post at the end of the calendar year.

It is known that the head of the association, Cesary Kulesh, is personally interested in having Ukrainian specialist Andriy Shevchenko lead the team.

They tried to come to an agreement with the Ukrainian back in January 2022, when he was coaching "Genoa", but then it was not possible to do so.

  • Michniewicz led the Polish national team in January of this year.

    Under his leadership, the Poles reached the 1/8 finals of the 2022 World Cup, where they lost to the future France (1:3).

  • In total, under the leadership of Michniewicz, the Polish national team played 13 matches, in which they won 5 times, drew three times and lost 5 times.
