On Saturday, December 17, in the match of round 8 of the Australian championship between "Melbourne City" and "Melbourne Victory", the goalkeeper's face was smashed with a bucket.

The BBC writes about it.

In the 11th minute of the game, "Melbourne City" opened the score in the match.

However, the fans did not allow the teams to do more.

After that, the fans threw a firecracker on the field, and the goalkeeper of "Melbourne City" Tom Glover returned it to the stands.

After that, about 150 fans stormed the field and attacked the goalkeeper and the referee, who was trying to protect the player.

One of them hit Glover on the head with a metal bucket containing fire extinguishers.

Absolutely unacceptable ugly scenes at 20 minutes at the Melbourne Derby.

Glover got smashed by a bin by some fuckwit.

Terrible.

Game paused.

As a result, the 24-year-old goalkeeper started bleeding, and soon the representatives of "Melbourne City" reported that he probably had a concussion.

The match was officially interrupted for the safety of the players.
