Bangladesh vs India

IND vs BAN Test:

A rare incident was witnessed in the ongoing first Test match (India vs Bangladesh) between India and Bangladesh at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, in which the visiting team was given five runs in penalty.

The incident took place during India's first innings on Thursday when the Bangladesh fielder's throw hit the helmet, which was lying on the ground behind wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan.

As per the Laws of Cricket, Bangladesh were fined five runs, which was awarded to India.

The KL Rahul-led team had by then crossed the 300-run mark with Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav at the crease.

Ashwin hit Taijul Islam's ball on the second ball of the 112th over with a bat edge.

The ball raced towards the third man fence and this gave the Indian pair of Ashwin and Kuldeep a chance to steal a pair.

This is when the throw of the Bangladeshi fielder in the third man region collided with the helmet.
