Some fans of the Moroccan team will not be able to come to Qatar and support their football team in the semifinals

of the 2022 World Cup

against France.

As Reuters reports, the Qatari authorities have imposed restrictions on fans from the African country, forcing the national airline of Morocco to cancel additional flights to Doha.

Earlier, the Moroccan airline said it would organize 30 additional flights to help fans get to the 2022 World Cup semi-finals.

The day before the game, it turned out that only 14 flights were scheduled.

However, due to the decision of the Qatari authorities, the company fulfilled only seven of them - on December 13.

The other seven, which were scheduled on the day of the match, December 14, had to be canceled by the airline.

The airline apologized to fans whose flights were canceled and refunded their tickets.

"Due to the latest restrictions imposed by the Qatari authorities, Royal Air Maroc regrets to inform customers of the cancellation of their flights operated by Qatar Airways,"

the company said in a letter sent to passengers

The France-Morocco match will take place today, December 14, at the "El Bait" stadium in El Haour.

The meeting starts at 21:00 Kyiv time.
