[Sports Center/Comprehensive Report] The Pistons' No. 1 pick in the 2021 draft, Cade Cunningham, plans to undergo surgery on his left tibia. He will be reimbursed early for the season and is expected to recover before the preseason training camp next season.

According to "ESPN" reports, Cunningham has been recovering from injuries since November 9, US time. In recent weeks, he consulted several doctors before finally making the decision to undergo surgery.

Cunningham spent about a month to observe whether the tibia injury can improve through rest, and now he has decided to undergo surgery for season reimbursement.

Cunningham played 64 games last season and averaged 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team last season.

Cunningham played 12 games this season, averaging 19.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6 assists, and 0.8 steals.
