Updated Test Ranking

: By becoming the eighth player to score a double century and a hundred in the same Test, Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne overtook England's Joe Root in the Test Player Rankings (ICC Test Rankings Marnus Labuschagne).

Labushen was just two points behind Root before the two ICC World Test Championship (ICC WTC) Tests, but now he has made a good difference at the top.

Root has slipped to the fourth position.

He is behind Steve Smith and Babar Azam.

ODI Rankings: Indian captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retained their ninth and 10th spots respectively in the latest ICC men's ODI rankings released on Wednesday, while Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul made jumps.


Iyer has moved up seven places to joint 20th after scoring 24 runs in the first ODI against Bangladesh and 49 in the final match against New Zealand.

On the other hand, Rahul has jumped four places by playing an innings of 73 runs in Mirpur, due to which he was successful in securing 35th position.

Rohit and Kohli are the two Indian batsmen in the top 10.

Among the bowlers, the fast bowling duo of Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur also benefitted from their good performance in the opening ODI against Bangladesh.


Siraj is joint 26th with Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga while Thakur has gained nine places to reach 42nd position.

Bangladesh's star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has gained seven places to reach the ninth position among bowlers after taking five wickets against India.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan has gained four places to reach the sixth position in the rankings for ODI bowlers after his figures of four for 37 in the final match of the Super League series against Sri Lanka.
