team, Dmytro Pidruchny, will undergo knee surgery.

This was reported by the press service of the FBU.

On Tuesday, December 6, he was examined in one of the leading clinics in Germany.

The study showed that Dmitry had a torn meniscus.

The surgery was scheduled for tomorrow, December 8.

Doctors hope that the biathlete will immediately be able to start the rehabilitation process without hospitalization.

Full recovery will take approximately 4-5 weeks.

Thus, Pidruchny will miss as many as five stages of the World Cup.

And he can join the national team at the world championship in Oberhof, which will last from February 8 to 19. 

We will remind that the new biathlon season will continue with the stage in Hogfilzen-2022.
