The Taiwan Sports Association stated that it took more than 2 years to plan the competition and held hundreds of meetings with relevant units. Only now can the competition be officially launched next year. It hopes to write a new history for the Taiwan Marathon. The Shuangbei City Marathon is an A-level event across Shuangbei. There is a 42km marathon elite group and a 21km half-marathon challenge group. It will start at the square in front of the Taipei City Hall. The elite group will enter the Yuanshan Riverside Park via the Xinsheng Viaduct. During the race, enjoy the route of the Keelung River around the greater Taipei area; the challenge group will enter Civic Avenue from the Xinsheng Viaduct, enjoying the joy of running and self-challenge in the urban landscape.

The elite group and the challenge group will enter the New Taipei City Jiangzicui Riverside Park Circuit along the Huajiang Bridge to experience the beautiful riverside scenery of Dahan River and Xindian River.
