Mohammed Shami

India vs Bangladesh:

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami will not be able to play in the ODI series against Bangladesh starting on Sunday due to a shoulder injury and Umran Malik has been included in his place.

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) gave this information on Saturday.

Shami was injured during the practice session after returning from Australia (Mohammed Shami Injury).

His playing in the two-Test series (IND vs BAN) starting in Chittagong from 14 December is also doubtful.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a press release, “Fast bowler Mohammed Shami was injured during the practice session ahead of the ODI series against Bangladesh.

He has injured his shoulder and is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

He will not be able to play in the three-match ODI series.

The All India Selection Committee has included Umran Malik in the team in place of Shami.

Shami later gave an update about his injury on Twitter.

Shami posted a picture of himself getting treated for his shoulder injury in a hospital.

He tweeted, "Injury, in general, teaches you to appreciate every moment. I've had injuries my entire career. It humbles. It gives you perspective. No matter how many times I get hurt Yes, I have learned from this to come back even stronger."

Injury, in general, teaches you to appreciate every moment.

I've had my share of injuries throughout my career.

It's humbling.

It gives you perspective.

No matter how many times I've been hurt, I've learned from that injury and come back even more stronger 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 pic.twitter.com/EsDLZd30Y7

But the fans of Pakistan created a ruckus on this tweet by remembering Shoaib Akhtar's tweet from last month.

Moments after Shami's latest tweet was posted, Pakistani fans mocked the Indian fast bowler with a 'Karma' tweet.

He reminded Shami of his reply to Akhtar's tweet after Pakistan lost to Australia in the T20 World Cup final in Melbourne last month.

Sorry brother

It's call karma💔💔💔 https://t.co/CezhLSJ9TO
