 Undoubtedly one of the greatest footballers in the world, Brazilian legend Pele has been in the hospital for a few days.

Although his daughter had earlier said that there is no emergency, but according to the latest information, at present, his condition (Pele Health Update) has declined and the situation is said to be bad.

Pele's cancer is no longer responding to chemotherapy, and she has been moved to 'palliative care'.

Earlier on Friday, Brazilian media reports claimed that Pele was responding to antibiotic treatment and was in a stable condition "with a general improvement in health".

The iconic footballer himself also gave an update on his health, stating that he is at the hospital for his monthly check-up and was grateful for the positive messages he has been receiving from across the world.

He said in an Instagram post, "Guys, I'm at the hospital for my monthly checkup. It's always nice to receive positive messages like this. Thank you to Qatar for this tribute and to everyone who sent me good vibes!"

On Tuesday, Pele's daughter said: "There is a lot of concern in the media today about my father's health. He is taking medication in the hospital. There is no emergency or new serious possibility. I will be there for the new year and I promise to post some pictures."

Several players and well-wishers, such as French footballer Kylian Mbappe, have also posted messages for Pele on social media upon learning of Pele's health.
