Vitaly Sachko made it to the semi-finals of the "Challenger" in Andria, Italy.

In the quarterfinals, Sachko beat third-seeded Tomasz Makhach from the Czech Republic in two sets – 

7:5, 6:2

.

The Ukrainian has one ace, one double fault, three breaks and won all eight of his opponent's break points.

The victory over Makhach, the 104th racket of the world, became the highest ranking this year for Vitaliy, who occupies the 323rd position in the ATP ranking.

Sachko also won the third match in a row for the first time this season and will play the first semi-final this year.

  • In the semi-finals, Sachko will meet the winner of the match between the Russian with neutral status Yevhen Karlovsky and the Swiss Leandro Riedy.
