The 2022 FIFA World Cup
will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18
.
32 national teams will take part in it, which are divided into 8 groups - four teams in each.

The two best teams from each quartet will advance to the playoffs (1/8 finals).
Next, the winner of the tournament will be determined in confrontations for relegation based on the results of one match.
It should be noted that this will be the last world championship with 32 teams.
Already at the next World Cup, which will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the USA in 2026, the number of participants will increase to 48 national teams.
