Shoaib Akhtar vs Sachin Tendulkar

New Delhi:

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar is considered one of the deadliest fast bowlers in cricket history.

He holds the record for throwing the fastest ball (161 kmph against New Zealand, 2002).

Akhtar enjoyed rivalry with some of the greatest batsmen of the game, one of them being India legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Both have faced and outplayed each other many times throughout their careers.

The competition between these two giants started in 1999, when Pakistan toured India for the first match of the Asian Test Championship (IND vs PAK).

In this match (India vs Pakistan) played in Kolkata, Pakistan had registered a close victory of 46 runs over India.

In which Akhtar had dismissed Tendulkar on the very first ball of the first innings, which completely calmed the crowd present at the Eden Gardens.
