[Sports Center/Comprehensive Report] The World Cup will kick off at the end of this month, and for England striker Harry Kane, this year not only has to help the national team play well, but he himself has to challenge the most in England team history number of goals.

At present, England has scored 53 goals for striker Wayne Rooney. Kane only needs to score two goals to tie this record.

Kane said he knew he was close to the record. "I try not to think about it as much as possible, but with the World Cup coming up, it will be a great stage to achieve something."

Kane said that when he was sure he had an opportunity to score, he would take it. "If it was done this winter, it would be a very happy thing."

Kane has secured his place at Tottenham and is just seven goals short of tying the club record of 266 held by Jimmy Greave.

Although his personal career is brilliant, Kane has not yet won an international championship with England. This year's World Cup will knock off again, and strive to join England's first Gold Cup.
