Russia

intends to host football clubs from the occupied territories of Ukraine to the championship of its country.

This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmytro Chernyshenko during a report to the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, the BBC reports.

We are talking about teams from the so-called "L/DNR", as well as parts of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

In response to this, the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) sent an immediate appeal to FIFA and UEFA with the demand to introduce "the strictest sanctions" against the Russian Football Union (RFS).

Ukraine demands the exclusion of Russia from UEFA and FIFA "for gross violation of the statutes of these organizations."

UAF President Andriy Pavelko announced this on his Facebook page.

In addition, the UAF decided to grant its regional divisions of all temporarily occupied regions and Crimea a special status.

They are starting work on a comprehensive plan of activities for the integration of children from these territories into Ukrainian football, which will provide for the operational restoration of development centers, sports academies, children's schools, the restoration of tournaments and championships already in the de-occupied territories.

Pavelko also added that, with the support of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the UAF is going to realize the goal of restoring the football infrastructure of the populated cities of Ukraine, as well as Crimea after the deoccupation, and to involve it in the events of the 2030 World Cup, for which our country

submitted a joint application with Spain and Portugal

"The main task that I set before myself and our team is to ensure that children from all over Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders have the same opportunities to become participants in the historic World Cup. And my personal dream is that the most talented players will play as part of the national team in the World Cup 2030 matches representatives from Crimea, Donbass, Kherson... I believe that the holiday of the Emergency will affect every Ukrainian in all Ukrainian territories without exception: from the Carpathians to the Donbass, and from Kyiv to the Crimea! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Armed Forces!"
